INSPIRATION BEHIND SACRED TREE PAINTINGS
TREE OF LOVE – Meditating under an ancient Olive tree at the temple of Aphrodite in Cyprus I experienced love seeping through the trunk into the earth below. This painting holds an image of an anatomical heart within its bark.
ALMOND MOTHER – In Mallorca I envisaged the almond stone as being the mother of all creation.
BAY TREE – Its Latin name, Laurus nobilis means green noble. This is a noble, grand tree.
CROOKED OAK – a sacred tree found in Blean woods, Canterbury.
FATHER PINE – stands tall protecting and inspiring us.
GOAT WILLOW – Her catkins are like small candles symbolising enlightenment.
OAK KING – Vision I had of an antlered king inside a womb shaped hole when standing by this sacred oak tree in Blean woods, Canterbury.
GIANT REDWOOD – The sky is not the limit, Gobbins wood, Hertfordshire.

WITCH HAZEL – Within Norse runes there is the symbol Ingwaz that appeared within the branches of Witch Hazel, signifying: intimacy, sexual relationships and possibilities.
